Introduction to the Research and Development Department
The Research and Development Department of Jam Petrochemical Company commenced its activities in 2011 with the establishment of rheology and dynamic-mechanical workshops, along with Chemical Laboratories 1 and 2. In 2014, the Central Laboratory of Jam Petrochemical Company was integrated into this department, expanding its laboratory capabilities with the addition of Polymer, Gas Chromatography, and Chemical laboratories.
The main responsibilities of this department include collecting data, organizing and defining projects, and executing or supervising defined projects related to the company’s operations. These areas include increasing production, process improvement, product development, resolving operational issues, and optimizing material and energy consumption. These objectives are pursued using the scientific and practical capabilities of in-house personnel and, if necessary, in collaboration with academic and research centers. Numerous projects have been defined, approved, or executed in this context.
The actual and potential capabilities of the department’s personnel, along with other selected experts of Jam Petrochemical Company, represent a valuable asset toward achieving the company’s strategic goals. We hope that through cooperation with other departments and by establishing a network for exchanging information with reputable domestic and international academic, research, and industrial institutions, we can provide the software and hardware prerequisites for the company to attain a prominent position in the global market in terms of product development and production—while considering environmental concerns. The experience gained from research activities carried out in this department is a valuable asset for Jam Petrochemical Company, with the potential to be offered as a profitable intellectual product, both materially and spiritually.
