Jam Pylen Petrochemical Company was established in 2004 in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Asaluyeh. This company produces various grades of polypropylene under the brand name “JAMPILEN” with the highest quality, relying on the unique Spheripol technology, with a nominal capacity of 300,000 tons per year. Jam Pylen is capable of producing over 120 types of polypropylene grades, including homopolymer, random copolymer, impact copolymer (heterophasic), and terpolymer, aiming to cover all applications of polypropylene in the Iranian and global markets.

Padjam Polymer Development Company (Private Joint Stock) was established in 2015 (Solar Hijri year 1394) as the executor of the Rubber/ABS production project by Jam Petrochemical Company. This project is located in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Asaluyeh on a 15-hectare site, with a production capacity of 200,000 metric tons of ABS and 60,000 metric tons of Rubber per year under license from one of the world’s most advanced technologies, owned by A.p.S – Versalis – Eni. The project is currently under construction and has progressed over 80%. Basic engineering for this project was carried out by the Italian company Tecnimont. The Padjam Polymer Complex is capable of producing 9 different grades of ABS and 3 different Rubber products in 7 grades, exclusively and for the first time in Iran, with the highest quality.

The feedstocks for this complex include styrene at 152,000 tons per year supplied via pipeline from the Pars Petrochemical Complex, 1,3-butadiene at 54,000 tons per year supplied via pipeline from Jam Petrochemical Complex, and acrylonitrile at 47,000 tons per year imported from abroad.

All auxiliary services for this complex are supplied via pipeline from the Damavand Petrochemical Complex.

Petroshemiran Company (Private Joint Stock) was established in 2003 (1382 Hijri Shamsi) with the aim of encouraging private sector investment in the petrochemical industry. Due to the increasing number of petrochemical projects and the lack of an integrated structure for simultaneously conducting engineering and management (MC) of such projects within the country’s industry, the scope of Petroshemiran’s objectives was expanded to include engineering and project management of petrochemical projects as well.

Gohar Ofogh Petrochemical Industrial Park Development Company was established in 2012 (1391 Solar Hijri) with registration number 1865 at the Companies Registration Office in Kongan County, Bushehr Province. It was founded with the partnership of four petrochemical companies: Jam Petrochemical, Sadf Asaluyeh Chemical, Entekhab Petrochemical, and Dalahu Chemical Industries.

The implementation strategy for the styrene park was proposed and put on the agenda in 2006 (1385 Solar Hijri) by the National Petrochemical Industries Company, aiming to develop a complex covering an area of 9 hectares.

The Kangan Polymer Development Company is the executor of the PDH/PP project, one of the important developmental and strategic projects of Jam Petrochemical Company. It was registered and established on 25/07/2018 (Persian calendar) with registration number 532816, with the aim of constructing, commissioning, and operating a plant and production line for propylene and polypropylene.

The project site is located in the southeastern part of phases 22-24 of the South Pars region, chosen due to its advantage of access to vast propane feedstock resources in the South Pars area. It is worth noting that the shift of olefin units towards gas crackers and the predicted increase in global demand for propylene products make this project strategically significant.

All preliminary studies regarding the technical and economic comparison for propylene production, focusing on the feasibility of establishing the third phase of Jam Petrochemical, have been conducted. These studies include the purchase and technology transfer of a 600,000-ton propylene production unit via propane dehydrogenation (PDH) under UOP license and two 300,000-ton polypropylene (PP) production units under BASELL license (based on the existing plant of Jam Polypropylene Company).
